Hi, I’m Bre.
Thanks for visiting my portfolio site! I am a graduate of the Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies program at the University of Cincinnati Online (2022). I earned my AAS in Electronic Media Technology in 2021 from the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College. The BTAS program has helped me conceptualize how I may apply management skills to a career in media production.
I chose to study Electronic Media Technology because it was appealing to me to learn technical skills that can aide in creative storytelling. Media production skills are necessary for a wide range of communicative purposes. I have always been multi-passionate, so being able to apply my knowledge to various fields was important to me. My focus during this program was on practicing photography and graphic art/design.
It was desirable to enroll in the BTAS program, largely because it was designed to enhance skillsets of students who had earned associates degrees and offer learning outcomes that could advance their careers in their respective fields. Administrative tasks are not always exciting, but they are necessary for managing and carrying out workplace duties with diligence and efficiency. I feel that the experience I gained while enrolled in the program strengthened my aptitude for leadership and my communication skills so that I can be a valuable asset to any organization.
When I’m not studying remotely, my free time at home is spent learning about various kinds of design methods and software, gardening, thrifting for home goods, and taking on home improvement projects. My plans for the future are to build my design portfolio by doing freelance work while balancing full-time employment in an administrative role. Industries I am most interested in are marketing, publishing, hospitality, educational services, and arts and entertainment.
